General Information
The Iowa Adult Day Services Association is a coalition of adult day centers in Iowa and incorporated 1984. Our members serve a diverse population of persons in need of supervisory or direct healthcare and structured therapeutic activities to improve their quality of life. We are committed to person-centered services that enable the individual to remain at home for as long as possible under the care of a caregiver and other coordinated home and community based services.
The IADSA is at an important crossroad and plans are necessary for the explosion of growing needs of seniors and how adult day services can improve the lives of persons with disabilities and aging Iowans. The Department of Elder Affairs commissioned the University of Iowa School of Social Work which concluded their statewide survey of adult day services. Their recommendations pinpoint the pertinent issues we face as providers. It is critical for us to unite for the betterment of our individual centers and as an association to work toward these recommendations that are key to the growth of our valuable services.
